Laser vision correction (LVC) uses a special laser to reshape the surface of the cornea (the front surface of the eye) in order to correct vision and reduce or eliminate the need for wearing glasses or contact lenses. The procedures are fast and highly successful.

LASIK (Laser-in-situ Keratomileuisis)

1. Anesthetic drops are applied to the eye
2. A flap is created by the surgeon and folded back
3. The corneal layer below the flap is reshaped by the laser.
4. The surgeon repositions the flap.
5. The flap adheres naturally to the deeper layers of the cornea.
